Spring 20177 Challenge and Trade It's been a long time since our last Challenge and Trade. So here we go with the latest greatest. This Challenge and Trade will be: Handmade/Homemade Tools These are to be new tools, made by you for the purpose of woodworking. You may use any kind of wood you prefer. If you want to include purchased metal pieces (ie: plane blades, spokeshave blades, etc, etc) this is totally acceptable. This category has many possibilities and should appeal to a broader range of our membership here in the chat room. After the sign-up period has closed, I will draw the names for a round-robin type trade. Such as, Joe to Mike, Mike to Brad, and so on. When you receive the name of your recipient, please keep it a secret. Only I will know who everyone's trade partner is. We are doing this, so possibly you can tailor your tool making to something that will fit the individuals woodworking abilities, or perhaps a tool that you know they do not have. As usual, we want you to try and advance your skills. So maybe try something you had been meaning to do, or a different skill that you have not done before. Most of all, we want you to do your best work, and have fun with this. Shipping your Trade piece will be entirely at your own cost. Please, if you sign up to do a trade, please complete your trade piece. If you back out in the middle of this, that leaves someone out in the cold and not receiving a trade piece. Which is really unfair to them. Have fun and good woodworking everyone. Dean C. (Indigogyre) and in memory with RogerT.
